Almansa is located at the southeastern tip of Castilla-La Mancha. Garnacha Tintorera, also known as Alicante Bouschet, is a hybrid of the\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eGarnacha and Petit Bouschet grapes. It is one of the few red grapes with dark colored\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003ejuice, hence the name Tintorera, or tinted. Fermented 50% whole cluster with wild yeasts in 4500 liter cement vats. Matured in the same vats for 8 months, and bottled with very little SO2 addition. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEnvínate the brainchild of Laura Ramos, Jose Martínez, Roberto Santana and Alfonso Torrente, four friends who met while studying winegrowing at the University of Miguel Hernández in Alicante. Their work, both in the vineyard and winery, is currently focused on exploring the ancient, Atlantic-infused terruños of Ribeira Sacra and the Canary Islands, as well as exceptional vineyard plots across the Iberian Peninsula. The Envínate philosophy is simple: let each parcela, or single parcel, fully express itself in the finished wine by utilizing old-fashioned farming and winemaking methods.
