Despite initial concerns that stylistically the wine would change (both Banks and Favia were Screaming Eagle alumni) it appears that is not the case, and Mayacamas remains an example of old-school Napa Valley.

Mayacamas' Chardonnay from Mount Veeder is a hand-harvested, 90% whole-cluster-pressed and wild-fermented wine that was aged in neutral and/or large cask. With an almost oyster shell minerality, candied lemon peel, lemongrass, baked apples and almonds, the wine is generous while never being bloated. It is layered and complex, with a long and lingering finish.

13.5% ABV
