Fermented in Stainless steel and matured on the lees for at least 20 months, the wine was then given a brut-level dosage produced from sweet Pinot Gris that was matured in oak barrels. This is a sparkler that is round but fresh with a medium body and a sustained finish. A wonderful introduction to the up-and-coming world of German Sekt. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLocated in the lower Nahe on a steep south-facing slope, Schlossgut Diel’s esteemed vineyard sites have been documented as early as 1901 as producing wines of exceptional quality. Organic viticulture is practiced as much as the steep slopes permit, and the fruit is either whole cluster pressed or, if the vintage necessitates, destemmed by hand so as not to break skins and warrant oxidation.
