This vineyard is one of the last reminders of an old California. These Zinfandel grapes were picked on August 13th and were fermented with native yeast and 50% whole cluster.  The wine was then matured for 8 months in old French oak barrels before being bottled without fining or filtration, and with minimal sulfur used.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eScar of the Sea is the wine project of Gina Giugni and Mike Brughelli, who began their winery with the goal of crafting wines that are influenced by the sea and that showcase the Central Coast of California.
