Pietro Clementi
Amarone della Valpolicella
Comprised of 65% Corvina, 30% Rondinella, and 5 % Molinara which were allowed to dry out for months before beingg pressed and fermented, these are truly rustic Amarone, wines which transport you to the Northern Italy of yesteryear.
In 1969, Pietro Clementi, the then-mayor of Marano, purchased 20 hectares of vineyards and woodlands in the hills of Marano di Valpolicella. Pietro spent his formative years among the vines; his parents, concerned for his safety amidst bombing raids on their native Verona during World War Two, shipped him off to Valpolicella to live with his grandparents, who were themselves winemakers. Pietro eventually moved back to Verona, pursued a career in law, but could never quite shake his love for the vine.
From the outset, Clementi aimed to produce in a non-flashy, traditional style, one that showcases freshness over opulence, like the wines he grew up with, rather than the dialed-up, over-extracted wines which dog the appellation to this day.

We generally make deliveries in the Midland/Odessa area Monday through Friday (unless closed for special occasion).
We do our best to have all orders placed BEFORE NOON on delivery days delivered SAME DAY. All orders placed after noon will be delivered the following delivery day.
