Domaine Jean-Noel Gagnard
Hautes-Côtes de Beaune 'Sous Eguisons' Blanc
Harvested from a parcel in La Rochepot, on an embankment overlooking and bordering the western part of the Saint-Aubin appellation Le Ban, this organic and biodynamic Chardonnaywas hand-harvested and gently pressed before being wild fermented in old oak barrels. After that, the wine was matured underground, on its lees, for 12-15 months before being lightly filtered and bottled. Incredibly mineral-driven, with a wonderful texture brought on by the lees-aging, this is a one-of-one style of Chardonnay.
Jean-Noël inherited his domaine from his parents in 1960, when the vines were split between him and his brother Jacques, but in 1989, Jean-Noël’s daughter, Caroline Lestimé took over day-to-day running of the domaine. Caroline’s wines show beautiful minerality and a consistent subtlety, both details that often get lost in the powerful humongous white wines of the rest of the Côte de Beaune.

We do our best to have all orders placed BEFORE NOON on delivery days delivered SAME DAY. All orders placed after noon will be delivered the following delivery day.
