Malterdingen 'Alte Reben' Chardonnay
From vines located adjacent to the GG (Grand Cru) Bienenberg site, an old vine Chardonnay, some of which are almost 70 years old, and an icon of the Huber estate. A wine that has both density and finesse. Pressed whole-cluster to give phenolic structure. Smoky-hued fruit with deep, reductive tension. Reminiscent of the best of Meursault.
Julian Huber, who now helms his late, great father, Bernhard Huber's winery, is considered by some of the most respected voices in wine culture to b a benchmark in fine Spätburgunder (aka Pinot Noir) and Chardonnay production not just in Germany, but throughout Europe. His Grosses Gewächs/GG (aka Grand Cru) bottlings of Chardonnay sell out almost instantly, and his GG Pinot Noirs are spoken of in hushed tones of reverence.

We generally make deliveries in the Midland/Odessa area Monday through Friday (unless closed for special occasion).
We do our best to have all orders placed BEFORE NOON on delivery days delivered SAME DAY. All orders placed after noon will be delivered the following delivery day. For most of Midland County orders over $150 in certain areas will receive FREE DELIVERY. Delivery distances defined by zip codes. See delivery zones below.
