Originally from the Loire Valley, cult natural winemaker Bruno Duchene's previous occupation was as a mushroom farmer before moving to Banyuls-sur-mer and taking up winemaking.
He practices organic farming, never working the soils and allowing grass to grow free in the vineyards, with minimal use of sulfur on the vines, working everything by hand, and utilizes spontaneous wild fermentations.
His renowned 'La Luna' Rouge is a blend of classic varieties from France's Mediterranean: 90% Grenache (Field-blended Noir, Gris, and Blanc) and 10% Carignan, harvested from in and around Banyuls. It was fermented whole-cluster in both wood and stainless steel before being aged in Burgundian barrels.
The wine shows spiced red fruits and berries, soft tannins, with a long bright, almost sea spray finish.

We generally make deliveries in the Midland/Odessa area Monday through Friday (unless closed for special occasion).
We do our best to have all orders placed BEFORE NOON on delivery days delivered SAME DAY. All orders placed after noon will be delivered the following delivery day. For most of Midland County orders over $150 in certain areas will receive FREE DELIVERY. Delivery distances defined by zip codes. See delivery zones below.
