Pax Mahle
North Coast Syrah
Harvested from several organically practicing vineyards on California's North Coast, this Syrah was 100% whole cluster fermented and matured for 10 months in neutral French oak before being bottled unfiltered and unfined.
Pax Mahle moved to California in 1997, sourcing wines for Dean & DeLuca, but it didn't take long for him to have the desire to jump ship and make his own wine, which he started doing three years later, in 2000. Obsessed with Syrah, at the time a largely untapped variety in the state, Pax became a flag-bearer for the variety, and made a name for himself as a producer focused on minimal intervention.
Wines are hand-harvested, crushed by foot and hand, and wild fermented, with the goal of preserving each vineyard's unique character.

We generally make deliveries in the Midland/Odessa area Monday through Friday (unless closed for special occasion).
We do our best to have all orders placed BEFORE NOON on delivery days delivered SAME DAY. All orders placed after noon will be delivered the following delivery day. For most of Midland County orders over $150 in certain areas will receive FREE DELIVERY. Delivery distances defined by zip codes. See delivery zones below.
