From the Austrian Erste Lage (Austria's version of Burgundy's Premier Cru) plot Ried Renner, comes this gorgeous Grüner Veltliner from producer Schloss Gobelsberg.
A rich, deep and spicy example of Grüner, the wine shows quince, pear and an almost honeylike quality, and has a finish which is long, structured and complex, with a savory-smokiness to it.
The plots held by Schloss Gobelsberg have a long history dating back to 1171 when the Monks of the Zwettl Monastery began making wine. In 1996, Michael Moosbrugger was granted the winemaking and vinicultural contract for the estate, and the winery regained the prestige of its yesteryear, with Michael being awarded 'Winemaker of the Year' by Falstaff magazine—the highest award given to an Austrian winemaker.

We generally make deliveries in the Midland/Odessa area Monday through Friday (unless closed for special occasion).
We do our best to have all orders placed BEFORE NOON on delivery days delivered SAME DAY. All orders placed after noon will be delivered the following delivery day.
