The Ogier family has been rooted in the Côte-Rôtie village of Ampuis for seven generations. From the age of six, current owner and winemaker Stéphane knew he wanted to follow in his winemaker father’s footsteps. . He now produces the domaine's wines from 27 acres of vineyards in some of the most famous Côte-Rôtie areas as well as from select sites located throughout the Northern Rhône Valley. Stéphane has built his philosophy on two principles: precision and freshness. Interpreting the terroir is not just about conveying the effect of the sun, but also the minerals, and today, the wines have become a reference point for Côte-Rôtie and are sought after by the greatest chefs and most serious wine lovers around the world.

Ogier's Le Temps Est Venu—a cement-aged blend of Grenache and Syrah hand-harvested from 40 year old vines planted in the Visan region of the Vaucluse—is a juicy and delicious red showing red cherries, plums, red licorice, dried cranberries, spice, and violets. Soft tannins and persistent acidity make this a crowd-pleasing, but excellent Rhône and an incredible price.
