Sancerre 'Le Chêne Marchand'
Hand picked in late September, and coming principally from the Clos du Chêne vineyard in Bué, this Sancerre was whole-cluster pressed and wild fermented in 95% stainless steel, 5% oak barrel for 25 to 30 days, before being matured for a combined 19 months on the lees, and bottled filtered. A precise and refined Sancerre.
Domaine Lucien Crochet has been producing wines in Sancerre since the early 1950’s. The organically farmed vineyards cover over 35 hectares, mostly planted to Sauvignon Blanc with a small amount of Pinot Noir for red and rosés. Meticulously crafted using hand picking, careful selection of the grapes and long, slow ageing sur lie, these wines are taut, sophisticated and age-worthy examples of Sancerre.

We generally make deliveries in the Midland/Odessa area Monday through Friday (unless closed for special occasion).
We do our best to have all orders placed BEFORE NOON on delivery days delivered SAME DAY. All orders placed after noon will be delivered the following delivery day. For most of Midland County orders over $150 in certain areas will receive FREE DELIVERY. Delivery distances defined by zip codes. See delivery zones below.
